The Greenway Centre has supported families in Sneinton for over 30 years, with a youth club, a food bank, school holiday programmes and affordable room hire. I built their first website in 2019. In 2026 I rebuilt it from the ground up, with two aims: make it easy for families to find what's on, and easy for the Centre Manager to keep it up to date.

The new site puts the essentials up front: weekly activities, a What's On calendar, ways to donate to fundraising appeals, room hire enquiries, and a photo gallery. It's designed mobile-first, because that's how most visitors arrive. It also meets accessibility standards, with no issues found in automated testing. Photos are resized automatically, so pages load quickly on any connection.

Behind the scenes, the CMS is shaped around someone who isn't technical. Everything is in plain English, from opening hours to the donation banner, and she has a step-by-step illustrated guide. I also moved the charity's hosting and email to a new provider with no downtime and no lost messages. Search engines and social media are set up properly too, so every page shares with a photo on Facebook and WhatsApp.
