The design is bold and full of energy, to suit a music studio. The homepage opens with a grid of black-and-white photos that flick into colour one at a time, with "SEND" in large orange letters above an animated equaliser. Further down, quotes fill the screen and light up word by word as you scroll.

SEND Project
A redesigned, rebuilt website for a Nottingham community arts charity. It has an animated photo-mosaic homepage, quotes that light up as you scroll, and a flexible block-based CMS in Craft 5, with colours the team can change themselves.

SEND Project is a community arts organisation in Sneinton, Nottingham. Since 2005 it has worked with young people and vulnerable adults through music production, workshops and outreach. Their old website ran on a version of Craft CMS that was no longer supported, and it looked as dated as it was. I redesigned and rebuilt it on Craft CMS 5, moved their hosting and email, and set it up so the team can run it themselves.
What I delivered
Easy page editing
Staff build pages from 18 ready-made blocks, including galleries, video, audio, stats, quotes and contact forms.
Colour control
The team picks the site's main colour and gives any block its own colour from a set of eight. Text and buttons adjust automatically so they stay readable.
Events and news
Upcoming and past events sort themselves, with dates, locations and "free to attend" labels.
Search and sharing
Search-friendly pages, structured data and share images made automatically for every page.
Accessibility
Accessible, mobile-first, and respects reduced-motion settings.
Hosting, email and training
A move to new hosting, migration of the team's email, and illustrated guides so staff can manage the site with confidence.
